Octopath Traveler 0 TGS 2025 stream includes in-game gameplay footage
Square Enix held a stage show dedicated to Octopath Traveler 0 at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The show also had an online live stream, and it included new gameplay footage from the Japanese language version of the game.
We have previously learned most of the game's features, starting from the protagonist character creation to the town-building and battle systems. The new Japanese footage went more in-depth with some of these features.
For instance, when you are creating your own protagonist avatar, you will input the name for not only your character but also your favorite dish. In addition, when you assign specific characters to reside in the same house, they may have specific lines referencing their housemates when you talk to them inside the house. You will also be able to freely change the materials of structures in the town; for example, by altering the stairs from wood to bricks.

In addition, the press releases we received so far only list the English voice actors, so we have also compiled the Japanese voice actor list from the game's Japanese website. As a side note, Phenn's Japanese voice actor Jun Kasama was also present at the above show.
One particular thing of note is that Herminia's Japanese voice actress is still Atsuko Tanaka, who already passed away last year; although she did also voice the same character in the mobile game Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, which first launched in Japan in 2020.

Octopath Traveler 0 will be available simultaneously worldwide for PlayStation 4&5, Nintendo Switch 1&2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on December 4.
