Hypergryph shows off the prologue of Arknights: Endfield in new PS5 gameplay demo, opens pre-registration

Developer Hypergryph debuted a substantial new look at Arknights: Endfield in the form of a lengthly gameplay trailer showing off nearly 15 minutes of the game's prologue section played on PS5. The trailer's release also coincides the opening of pre-registration for the free-to-play game on the platform, ahead of its planned early 2026 release.

Arknights: Endfield PS5 Gameplay Trailer

The PS5 gameplay demo footage for Arknights: Endfield covers the opening section of the game, starting from the point where the player is asked to choose the gender presentation of their character, the "Endministrator" of Endfield Industries. From there the player goes through a number of enigmatic cutscenes, battle and movement tutorials, and a boss fight against a massive creature.

This boss fight is a new encounter compared to the flow of the prologue seen by participants in the PC beta launched of January 2025. In it, players are given temporary access to a full team of characters to try out moves like chain attacks. Notably, at least two of the characters will be familiar to Arknights fans, being extremely similar visually to the existing Arknights Operators Surtr and Angelina, though in Endfield they appear to use the codenames Laevatein and Gilberta, respectively.

Beyond the prologue, and as seen in other previews like the Gamescom trailerArknights: Endfield will combine real-time combat and exploration with base construction and strategic gameplay as players try to support and rebuild civilization on Talos-II.

Arknights: Endfield is set for release on PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
