Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 gets a new trailer detailing the Banu Haqim vampire clan

Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room released a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, introducing characters from the Banu Haqim, one of the game's vampire clans and an option for players to choose as they define Phyre, their character.

Like previous trailers showcasing the Tremere and Ventrue clans, the Banu Haqim trailer focuses on the abilities, affinities, and general character of the clan, as well as introducing several other Banu Haqim characters residing in Seattle, like Niko Angelov, the clan trainer.

Also known as the Judges, Banu Haqim vampires adhere to a strict code of conduct, be it religious rules, laws of the state, or a code of ethics. In previous editions of the Vampire: The Masquerade setting, the Banu Haqim were called the "Assamites" and modeled on the 11th-century Order of Assassins. The development process for the Banu Haqim as they appear in Bloodlines 2 was detailed in a 2024 developer diary.

The trailer also shows off some of the vampiric Disciplines Phyre will have access to as a Banu Haqim. The showcased abilities focus on direct combat and stealth, aligning with the clan's propensity for delivering its brand of justice onto those who have transgressed. Some abilities allow Phyre to silence targets, slow down time, and even become invisible temporarily.

In the latest feature video, viewers meet Niko Angelov at Aurora Pawn and learn more about their clan affinities and Disciplines, including:

  • "Bladed Hand": Slash swiftly in front of you, beheading weaker opponents.

  • "Split Second": Move so fast that time appears to stop around you.

  • "Mute": Silence your target's screams and weapons.

  • "Unseen Aura": Become temporarily invisible to enemies and civilians.

  • "Unseen Passage" - Clan Perk: Can remain crouched whilst sprinting.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 launches on October 21, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Check out other reveals outlining the game's combat, social mechanics, and vampire-hunting foes.
