Square Enix has shared new information and screenshots for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, detailing new storyline and dungeon additions made to Dragon Quest I. Some of these additions were teased in the New Content trailer released last month, but now we have more details on how the original Dragon Quest title has been expanded.

The most notable addition involves Rubiss, a significant character in Dragon Quest III (and the HD-2D Remake), but was only briefly mentioned in some previous versions of Dragon Quest I. Other scenario additions look to include Tantegel soldiers, fairies, dwarves, and more.
Alongside new scenarios, the HD-2D version of Dragon Quest I also includes new dungeons and new event battles throughout the world.
