NetEase Games and Everstone Studio announced today that Where Winds Meet, the highly anticipated open-world Wuxia action-adventure RPG, has officially surpassed 5 million pre-registrations worldwide, with just 1 month remaining until its global launch on November 14, 2025 (PT) for PC (Steam/Epic/Windows) and PlayStation 5. To celebrate the milestone, the studio has released a brand new gameplay trailer, featuring diversified immersive gameplay of the unique world of eastern fantasy.

A vivid Wuxia open-world immersed in a deep, authentic Eastern fantasy

The vast open world of Where Winds Meet is intricately crafted and brimming with life, featuring over 20 distinct regions to explore. From the grand capital of the empire to the deep underground caves, from desolate deserts to the mysterious and eerie ghost market, the game merges history with the wildest imagination of a Wuxia world and brings them stunningly to life.

The game is populated with more than 10,000 unique NPCs, each possessing their own personality and distinctive responses to the player’s actions. Depending on how players choose to interact with them, these characters can become trusted allies or sworn enemies.

Where Winds Meet boasts over 40 unique Martial Mystic Arts available for mastery, from Tai Chi, Toad Style, to Lion’s Roar. Some are inspired by encounters with animals in the wild, while others are acquired by infiltrating heavily guarded strongholds or learning from enigmatic wanderers in the wild. These Mystic Arts serve not only as tools for combat but also play a crucial role in exploration and puzzle-solving, adding depth and versatility to the Wuxia open world.

Immersive story exploration

Where Winds Meet weaves its grand narrative through a scattered storytelling approach, fully integrated into its expansive world. Players will experience sharp contrasts—from the luxury of Fanlou Golden Street to struggling slums, from grand palaces to the mysterious ghost market. Each area offers its own stories to uncover, whether through the main quest or by exploring off the beaten path.

Unique Combat experience inspired by Chinese martial art

Where Winds Meet features a distinctive combat experience inspired by both traditional Kung Fu movements and fantastical martial arts styles. By combining various weapons, Mystic Arts, and techniques learned from different sects, players can create their own unique combat styles and strategies.

The game’s combat system promises to be both challenging and highly inclusive. With multiple difficulty settings, it caters to a diverse audience, offering a fulfilling experience for both narrative-focused casual players and skilled ARPG veterans.

Where Winds Meet's vision is to create a world where everyone can fully immerse themselves—without rules, without barriers, and with true freedom. Everstone Studio hopes to welcome a wider audience into this vibrant and captivating Wuxia world, allowing more players to experience the unique charm of Eastern martial arts and the boundless possibilities of Jianghu!*

*Jianghu (江湖) literally means rivers and lakes, originated as a concept from wuxia stories. It means the edges of the empire, wild areas far from the political centers, where heroes can dispense justice with skill at arms and martial arts.
