Shift Up announces Goddess of Victory: NIKKE 3rd anniversary event for October 30

Developer Shift Up and publisher Level Infinite announced details of the upcoming 3rd anniversary event for shooter-RPG Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. The event kicks off on October 30, 2025, and brings a number of limited-time modes and characters in addition to new main story chapters and quality-of-life improvements. Shift Up promoted the events via a promotional livestream, and also released a teaser trailer hinting at what's to come.

The trailer focuses on the new playable character, Nayuta. A member of the Pilgrim Pioneer squad, Nayuta was introduced in recent story chapters and plays a major role in the latest arc. She will enter the playable roster as a Burst II Wind-element SMG unit tuned to support her team by healing HP and upgrading its damage output when she uses her Burst. 

Two other characters will be added to the roster during the 3rd Anniversary, as well: Liberalio and Chime. Liberalio is a Heretic, a fusion of Nikke and Rapture, and enters the roster as a Burst III Wind sniper with skills that change properties depending on her target. The third unit, Chime, is a Burst II Iron-element support unit, and was first introduced as the attendant to the Pilgrim Nikke Crown.

Chime will appear as a participation reward for players playing the limited-time anniversary event, titled "Goddess Fall." Goddess Fall centers on the surface settlement of Eden and its role in the battle against the Rapture Queen, which is returning to Earth to finish the job of exterminating humanity. The event will also include a base-management minigame called Rebuild Eden.

Alongside the Goddess Fall event, the NIKKE 3rd anniversary will add Chapters 41 and 42 to the main story, and debut the beta version of a new gameplay type: Surface Exploration. Framed as a grid-based strategy-style mode, Surface Exploration allows players to explore the long-abandoned surface of Earth and build structures and bases to expand their area of control.

As with other events, the anniversary will debut cosmetic skins for characters new and old alike. Nayuta, Crown, Little Mermaid, and Red Hood will all receive skins via the skin gacha and premium passes. Older premium skins for Privaty, Isabel, and Harran will be made available for purchase for players that missed the first run.

Besides new gameplay, the 3rd anniversary update will also add optimizations aimed at speeding the number of daily activities players do for rewards and allowing them to enjoy the story. These include a "Simple Story Mode" for the main campaign that removes combat power requirements and incidental battles, allowing players to focus on story events in exchange for reduced rewards.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on mobile platforms and PC. The 3rd Anniversary event kicks off on October 30, 2025.
