Utawarerumono: Shiro he no Michishirube is coming to PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC via Steam

Aquaplus has published new details for Utawarerumono: Shiro he no Michishirube at today's live stream. One of the most important reveals from this stream is the list of platforms, whereas the series' new entry will be available on Sony PlayStation 5Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The stream confirmed that this new game will be a traditional RPG in a similar vein to Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, to which this title will be its direct sequel. All four main characters of Monochrome Mobius—Oshtor, Shunya, Mikazuchi, and Munechika—will return with the same Japanese voice actors but new grown-up appearances. The stream also has several new in-game screenshots under development, which show the upcoming entry's exploration, conversation, and battle scenes.

In addition, Aquaplus has revealed the key art that will also appear as the boxart for the new game. The company also teased a similarity in the pose Shunya takes here with that of Kuon in Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception.

The new Utawarerumono game was initially revealed last year with a release window in Fall 2025, but Aquaplus announced last September that they delayed it to 2026. This stream has not provided a more precise release date beyond the new year.

The stream also mentioned that Monochrome Mobius, which is currently available on PS5, PS4, and PC Steam, is also coming to Switch 2. In addition, Aquaplus has a reminder that they are holding a new sale period for their titles that include Monochrome Mobius and the original Utawarerumono SRPG trilogy. The discounts are currently live on PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop until December 1, but they will also hold one on Steam from November 25 until December 2.
