Sega confirms Yakuza 0 Director's Cut, Kiwami 1, and Kiwami 2 upgrade options for PS5, Xbox, and Steam

Sega has revealed upgrade options for existing owners of Yakuza 0 Director's Cut , Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 ahead of the three games getting new PS5 and Xbox Series versions with Yakuza 0 Director's Cut also getting a new Steam version.

Yakuza 0 and Kiwami owners will have a discounted upgrade option while Kiwami 2 owners will get a free upgrade on PS5 and Xbox Series for existing PS4 and Xbox One owners respectively. On Steam, both Kiwami 1 and 2 are getting free updates. With today's announcement, Sega also confirms that the licensed music in Yakuza 0 and KIwami will be added in the new versions just like the Nintendo Switch platform releases. It is worth noting that physical disc owners and subscription players cannot claim any upgrades here. Sega also previously confirmed that there is no save data transfer option.

Yakuza Kiwami is now available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, and PC. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Today SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced that the Dec. 8 Like a Dragon & Yakuza series 20 Anniversary releases of Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam will offer discount options to players who have existing digital versions of Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 as a token of appreciation for their continued support of the series.

Yakuza 0 Director's Cut

Features: Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut features newly added cutscenes, online co-operative ‘Red Light Raid’ mode, English dub, and added text language support in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. The theme song Bubble that was not included in the original western release of Yakuza 0 has also been added.
