Tales of Xillia 2 will include a feature to bring you up to speed on the first game

The game's sequel, Tales of Xillia 2 will feature a digest option which tells the story of the first game. Similar to what was done for Final Fantasy XIII-2, the option to view past events will be available before you begin the game, likely from the main menu. This of course is meant as ways for new players to get into ToX2, or perhaps old players to catch up without replaying the game all over again.

Tales of Xillia 2 is out in Japan this November, and will have an all new trailer at Tokyo Game Show in a couple weeks.
