Danganronpa video game series has shipped over 10 million units
Spike Chunsoft has announced that the Danganronpa video game series has shipped over 10 million units worldwide.
This milestone includes shipments and digital sales as of December 10, 2025. So far, the games released worldwide include Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, and Danganronpa S including various ports to different platforms over the years. The next entry in the series is Danganronpa 2x2 due in 2026.

Spike Chunsoft, Inc. today announced that its widely beloved Danganronpa video game series has surpassed 10 million units shipped worldwide across its five titles*. The series celebrated its 15th anniversary this past November.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, the first title in the Danganronpa series, was released in Japan for the PSP on November 25, 2010. Since then, five titles have been launched across multiple platforms, including three mainline entries and two spin-offs. The franchise has also expanded into other media, including TV anime, manga, novels, a stage play, and commercially successful licensed character goods.
Danganronpa 2x2, the latest installment in the series will be released in 2026 for Nintendo Switch™2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam®. The game will feature both a brand-new scenario, and the freshly revamped original scenario from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.
