Persona 5: The Phantom X version 3.2 update adds Tempest Riko Tanemura and Main Story Chapter 3 finale
Sega and Atlus have released the Version 3.2 update for the Japanese and Global English servers of Persona 5: The Phantom X. The highlights of this update are the addition of the Tempest version of Riko "Wind" Tanemura and the implementation of the Chapter 3 finale in the main story, where the Phantom Thieves are set to send the Calling Card to the third major villain and enter a tough boss battle against the latter.
While the story's canon Phantom Thieves have so far appeared as 4-star characters and are available via story progress and the permanent gacha banner, Riko is the first one to have a 5-star version obtainable from a limited banner. However, this is not the same as proper Persona evolutions in the mainline console games, as Atlus has formally named this phenomenon in English as "Unbound Desire".
This patch also marks the first occasion where the Japanese and English servers apply a different update order from the earlier East Asian releases (unless you count the simultaneous worldwide patch adding Justine and Caroline). As a side note, the latter would instead add a new Persona 5 Royal crossover episode starring Kasumi "Violet" Yoshizawa. While Violet is still slated to eventually appear in the global servers, those who care more about her will have to wait a bit longer.
