Monster Hunter Wilds large scale expansion in the works, new update arrives on February 18

Monster Hunter Wilds is getting its next update on February 18 bringing in Arch-Tempered Arkveld, 10-star Arch-Tempered monsters, new Event Quests, a collaboration with Monster Hunter Stories 3, and more.

Capcom has confirmed that a large scale expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds is also in the works with the first reveal set for this summer.  The announcements were made with two trailers. The first focuses on the game's anniversary while the second goes into details for the update. 

Monster Hunter Wilds is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Check out all our Monster Hunter Wilds guides here.

The February update for Monster Hunter Wilds arrives on Wednesday, February 18, 2026! Take on imposing new challenges with Arch-Tempered Arkveld, 10-star Arch Tempered Monsters, and unique new Event Quests! 

The update also adds a collaboration event with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the weapon and pendant designs from the Design Contest, and an event celebrating the 1st anniversary.
