Nippon Ichi to publish Persona 4 Golden in Europe

Nippon Ichi Software America has announced that they're partnering with Atlus to bring Persona 4 Golden to Europe - and the game will arrive there in Spring 2013.

The extra time over the US release, which was confirmed for this November earlier this week, is likely for localization for non-English speaking countries.

The move is intriguing - Atlus are by rights a larger company than Nippon Ichi, yet seem staunch in not having a European operation. NISA, meanwhile, has always been keen on expansion into Europe - the company forged an agreement with Tecmo Koei's European arm which allows them to publish games making use of Koei's European channels.

This is the first time the company has taken on localization of another publisher's efforts, though - previous releases have been limited to NIS-developed games such as Disgaea and Hyperdimension Neptunia.
