Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection online features explained in more detail

The March 2026 Capcom Spotlight included a segment on Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection. In this segment, the Mega Man series producer Shingo Izumi showed more details on the upcoming compilation's online features.

Other than card trading, the segment also shows more example footage on the online versus and Brother registration menus. All of these features will be grouped by the numbered iterations, so you can connect with players who are on a different version of the same iteration (Pegasus/Leo/Dragon for MMSF1, Zerker/Ninja/Saurian for MMSF2, and Black Ace/Red Joker for MMSF3).

For the Brother registration, Capcom confirms that the maximum limit of 100 Brothers applies separately to each numbered iteration, although the player apparently still can only set up to 6 of them in the actual games. As for the Versus mode, the player can opt to enter matchmaking for each iteration simultaneously. They can also opt to register other matched players as Brothers after the match has ended.

As of this writing, there are no standalone versions of the presentation uploaded yet. You can thus find the specific segment on both the recorded Japanese and English streams with the respective timestamps right below.
