Persona 5 Special Big Band Concert returns with The Phantom X songs newly added

Sega and Atlus have published new details on the Persona 5 Special Big Band Concert that will return across Asia this Summer. The concerts that will take place in Japan's Yokohama and Hiroshima between June 30 and July 3 are confirmed to include new songs from the ongoing free-to-play game Persona 5: The Phantom X.

For the record, the Big Band Concert first appeared last December in Tokyo (Shinjuku), Kobe, and Yokohama (Pia Arena MM). The band is being led by Charlie Rosen, whose name rose to further prominence when The 8-Bit Big Band's arrangement of Persona 5's battle song Last Surprise made it into the nominations list for the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals.

A comprehensive list of the upcoming new Asia and Japan tours for the concert in 2026 is available right below:

  • Bangkok, Thailand (Union Hall) - June 16
  • Singapore (Esplanade Concert Hall) - June 23-24
  • Taipei (Legacy Tera) - June 26
  • Yokohama, Japan (Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall) - June 30-July 1
  • Hiroshima, Japan (Fukuyama Arts and Culture Hall Reed & Rose) - July 3

As of this publication, tickets for most of the concerts are still available to order—with an exception for the Singapore concert on June 23, which is already sold out. Foreigners who want to watch the concerts in Yokohama and/or Hiroshima can also still participate in the ticket lotteries that will close on March 22.

Experience the music from ATLUS's globally acclaimed hit game “PERSONA5” delivered in a stylish and authentic big band sound. The music from “PERSONA5” which is one of the most popular titles in the Japanese RPG “PERSONA” series (with over 22 million copies sold worldwide), is powerfully and dynamically reborn through the talents of approximately 30 top-tier musicians selected from the US and Japan.

A luxurious big band has been specially assembled for this concert. The music arrangements, music direction, and conducting are handled by the Maestro Charlie Rosen, a two-time Grammy and two-time Tony Award winner. Lyn, who performed all vocals in “PERSONA5”, is the featured singer. The band members include astonishing musicians active in New York, the holy land of jazz, alongside Japan's top players selected by world-renowned trumpeter Eric Miyashiro

“PERSONA5” has garnered worldwide acclaim for its musicality, featuring a wide range of genres including jazz, funk, and soul, composed by Shoji Meguro. This concert, presenting those magnificent songs with the ultimate big band, was held for the first time in Japan last year. Tickets were sold out instantly after going on sale. Even the hastily added extra performance was also sold out immediately, drawing over 10,000 enthusiastic fans into a whirlwind of excitement.

Furthermore, the concert was invited to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival Japan, the Japanese edition of the world-renowned Montreux Jazz Festival. Sharing the stage with jazz legends like Herbie Hancock and Nate Smith, it transcended game music, receiving enthusiastic applause from core jazz fans and music listeners alike.

Arranger/Music Director Charlie Rosen also leads the Grammy Award-winning big band jazz orchestra specializing in game music, “The 8-Bit Big Band.” In 2025, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals for his arrangement of the “PERSONA5” track “Last Surprise.”

This “PERSONA5 Special Big Band Concert,” led by Rosen, is drawing intense global attention as a show that transcends the conventional concept of game music concerts, combining the highest quality musicality with entertainment value.
