Gotcha Gotcha Games publishes RPG Maker New Project teaser trailer

Gotcha Gotcha Games has published a teaser trailer for an unspecified RPG Maker New Project. The trailer gives a sneak peek of a new RPG Maker engine that looks set to support maps with 3D structures and elaborate lighting, in a similar vein to Square Enix's HD-2D releases like Octopath Traveler and the first three Dragon Quest remakes. The highlighted segment begins at around the 0:28 mark.

For the record, the latest iteration in the RPG Maker series before this announcement was RPG Maker Unite. It is available for purchase on Unity Asset Store, RPG Maker Official Store, and Epic Games Store.

You can also find the official English trailer for the new RPG Maker project right below. A Japanese version of the trailer is also available, although it simply features Japanese text instead, including RPG Tkool as the series' Japanese title.
