Artesnaut launches as a free-to-play game for PC via Steam in 2026
R.N. Studio has opened a Steam page for Artesnaut, with a release window set in 2026. The studio also published more details on their Note blog, noting that the text-based idle RPG will be available as a free-to-play game. A demo version is also slated to appear in the June 2026 Steam Next Fest that runs on the 15th-22nd.
Artesnaut initially appeared on iOS in Japan in January 2019, followed with an Android release in November 2024. The upcoming PC release on Steam will have the same servers and support cross-save with the earlier mobile releases, and the studio has also promised that all existing platform versions will continue to receive simultaneous updates. The PC version will exclusively let the player open up to 4 menu screen tabs at once, along with keyboard shortcuts.
Artesnaut is available in not only Japanese but also English, Korean, and Chinese (Traditional & Simplified). However, the Japanese studio also admitted on the Steam page that they are using AI to localize the game outside Japanese.
