Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse announced today that the brand-new Version 4.3 of Honkai: Star Rail, The Lethe Below the Living, will launch on June 1, 2026. This version will continue the story of Planarcadia. The Trailblazer and Mortenax Blade will separately venture into the World in Canvas and, under the dual oppression of Lord Ravager Asat Pramad's shadow and the seal of the Aeon Voracity, confront the finale of Blade's age-old fate.

The secret sealed deep within Planarcadia will reach its official revelation in this version. At the end of the picturesque realm lies the divine husk of the Aeon, the Voracity. This ancient entity, presiding over desire and devouring, is the very crux of Blade's wager on this journey. Bearing the flesh of Shuhu from within two hundred thousand Joy Ascendants, Blade has chosen to step onto the board himself. He seeks to borrow the power of the Voracity to melt away the Shuhu within his own body, bringing a final end to this long-enduring curse. However, whether this action ultimately leads to death or rebirth remains a blank in Elio's script, and the answer will be witnessed firsthand by the Trailblazer.

Meanwhile, the Trailblazer will also depart for Inkford Hermitage, the boundary between this life and the World in Canvas, to transmit a warning regarding the threat of Asat Pramad to Graphia, who is stationed there. This ancestor of the Murata family, known as the "Mother of Imagenesis," has lived in this world for a full millennium. As early as Amber Era 2148, she used a single brush to encanvas the entirety of Ahatopia, fending off the invasion of the Demons From Beyond, but at the cost of burdening every subsequent generation of the Murata family with the "Weathering Curse." With the official debut of this millennial figure who has witnessed many major events in the cosmos, she may offer new answers regarding the Graphia family, Phantasmoon Games, and even the numerous mysteries surrounding Himeko.

In this update, Mortenax Blade, a 5-star Fire-Type character following the Path of Nihility, officially makes his debut. This swordsman, once stricken with mara, leading him to join the Stellaron Hunters and await his "death in the script" across the long years, will face a major turning point in his destiny in this version. In combat, Mortenax Blade can use his Ultimate, "Fornax Ex Corpore" to deploy a special Bounded Field and enter an enhanced state. While the Bounded Field is active, all enemies receive increased DMG. Upon entering this enhanced state, Mortenax Blade unlocks his Skill, utilizing a Sword Formation to deal even more DMG to enemies while gaining a brand-new, more powerful Ultimate. Furthermore, every time an ally attacks an enemy, they inflict a debuff on the target and accumulate a special Charge for Mortenax Blade. Once this Charge is full, he automatically uses his Skill once and regenerates extra Energy.

Alongside this version update, the "Gift of Tempered Blade" event will also kick off: After obtaining Mortenax Blade from Warping, players can claim a brand-new Trailblaze Outfit piece, "Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore," for free. Meanwhile, Yao Guang will have a rerun during the first-half Warps, while the second half will feature the limited return of Cyrene and Phainon. As for version events, the IPC is launching the "Wispae Amusement Park" within the World in Canvas. Taking on the role of "Chief Planner," the Trailblazer will map out visitor routes and place amusement rides across different themed zones to attract wispae to come and play. At the same time, a new "Starward Mode" will be added to three challenge gameplay modes: Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow. In this mode, the Trailblazer will need to set up 3 teams to take on 3 different stages. Clearing each gameplay with full stars will reward an extra 100 Stellar Jades per phase, amounting to an additional 300 Stellar Jades in total across all three modes.

Furthermore, Honkai: Star Rail has officially announced its collaboration with UGREEN. Collaboration merchandise and various online and offline events will gradually roll out across multiple countries and regions, with more details to be revealed at a later date. Finally, this summer, the Holy Grail War will ignite once again. Stay tuned for more details!
