Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition launches for Switch 2 on September 24

Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition will launch for Switch 2 on September 24.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition debuted on Nintendo Switch as an enhanced version of the original PS4 and PC release. Dragon Quest XI S was then released on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam following its Switch debut. It will now be coming to Switch 2 on September 24. You can find the announcement trailers below:

The Switch 2 version will allow prioritizing graphics (1440p 30fps) or performance (1080p 60fps). The physical release will be a Game-Key Card in Japan as shown off during the stream.

Update: The Japanese FAQ confirms no save transfer and that the content is the same as prior versions of Dragon Quest XI S.
