1987 MSX2 version of Mirai gets a Nintendo Switch port via EGG Console

D4 Enterprise is gradually releasing a new EGG Console port for Nintendo Switch based on the 1987 MSX2 release of Mirai. The port is set to appear in Nintendo eShops worldwide, including the US storefront at $6.49.

This follows an earlier Switch port of the same game that's based on its 1986 PC-8801mkIISR release. Both ports are also readily available on the Project EGG website for modern Windows PCs.

A unique title featuring aerial shooting and underground combat. High difficulty—intense battles await you!

Released by Creative Brain in 1987, this action RPG casts you as a mysterious soldier embarking on an adventure across six planets.

This side-scrolling game features two phases per planet: "Aerial Stages" with shooting action, and "Underground Stages" focused on martial arts. Formidable bosses await at key points and stage ends, offering tense battles where you must pinpoint their weaknesses.

The difficulty is high. In aerial combat, fuel exhaustion is fatal; once empty, health drains until Game Over. Strategic "fuel management" is key—you must plan around refueling stations and choose low-output verniers for stages without resupply. Stock up beforehand, as some stages lack shops entirely.

With shifting attack styles, strategic boss fights, and a distinct sci-fi atmosphere, this title is unique. If you crave a challenging action RPG, it's a must-play.
