Additionally, Bandai Namco has published a streaming guideline for Echoes of Aincrad on the game's official Japanese website. The existing demo version, which covers the beta test phase of the Sword Art Online MMORPG story, is entirely available to stream.

However, following the game's console launch in Japan and Asia on July 9 (and the PC & global releases on July 10), Bandai Namco sets a regular restriction beyond the end of the 1st Floor for around a week after release until July 17. The company will lift this restriction to allow regular players to stream the entire game on July 18.

There is a major exception to the Death Game Mode, which will delete the save data upon the avatar's death. Bandai Namco will allow full streams of this mode with the highest Very Hard difficulty setting to be broadcast right from the game's release date.

Bandai Namco is also further encouraging streams of the Death Game Mode by opening applications for public streamers and VTubers to join the Kouryaku-gumi (Walkthrough Group). Aspiring participants must state their interest in streaming the Death Game Mode with Very Hard difficulty within the restricted period. Bandai Namco will then include their player names in the Monument of Life while also providing them with the NerveGear overlay kit specifically intended for streaming this game.
