Suikoden Star Leap releases first for mobile in Japan, followed with international mobile & global PC Steam
Suikoden Star Leap has been known to be coming to mobile (iOS & Android) and PC (Steam), but it turns out that there will be staggered releases between platforms and regions. Konami made this announcement via the game's Japanese social media account.
The exact order of the releases will be as follows:
- iOS & Android in Japan
- iOS & Android worldwide* besides Japan
- Steam worldwide* including Japan
Note that the "worldwide" term has a * fine print that excludes a few countries and territories. SteamDB has indicated that Suikoden Star Leap is not going to be available in Russia, Belarus, Belgium, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In the same announcement, Konami noted that they are going with this order as they want to carefully prepare environment adjustments that let users on each device and region have a stable gameplay experience. But even though the PC Steam release is now confirmed to come later than mobile, the company has yet to confirm whether this free-to-play game will support cross-save or not.
Additionally, Konami also promised to announce the first launch date for the Japanese mobile scene as soon as possible. They will then prepare the launch window for the international mobile scene after the first release in Japan, and then the global PC release on Steam after that.
