DLC packs not heading to Mass Effect 3 Wii U

Bioware has revealed that Mass Effect 3's two most significant expansions so far will not be coming to the Wii U version of the game.

"Unfortunately it will not be available for Wii U," Bioware tweeted to a fan who asked about a potential Wii U release of the upcoming Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC.

It was later confirmed that Leviathan, Mass Effect 3's other single player expansion, is also going to be skipped on Nintendo's newly-released platform. Asked if there was a chance of any of the DLC appearing, EA merely teased, responding "Never say never."

Wii U's Mass Effect 3: Special Edition is a made special by a few extra inclusions over the 360, PS3 and PC release - the 'From Ashes' and 'Extended Cut' DLC packs as well as new touchscreen-enabled squad and power control. We'll bring you a full review later this week. Without DLC, though, this pack has become a lot less special. [via Eurogamer.]
