Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II are coming to Switch 2 today in Japan, October 1 in the West

During the 8th anniversary broadcast, Square Enix just announced that Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II are coming to Nintendo Switch 2 today in Japan and October 1 in the West (Update).

Both are now available digitally in Japan with a bundle offering a discount. The new trailer for the West confirms no upgrade path and no save data transfer between the Switch 1 and 2 versions of both games. You can find the trailer below:

The games will be priced at 49.99 GBP each or 59.99 in a bundle in the UK. The US prices are $59.99 each with $74.99 for the bundle. The physical releases will be Game-Key Cards with the box art below. Thanks to Wario64 for the heads up. 

Octopath Traveler debuted on Nintendo Switch before seeing a PC port followed by an Xbox release. It was then ported to PlayStation. Octopath Traveler II debuted on Switch, PS5, PS4, and PC with an Xbox port coming later. With this, both games will be available on all current platforms. Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II are now available for Switch 2 in Japan and they launch on October 1 for the West.
