Super Robot Wars 35th anniversary stream scheduled to run on August 1

Bandai Namco has revealed that they will hold a special live stream to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Super Robot Wars series. This stream is scheduled to start on August 1 at 20:00 JST / 19:00 SGT / 13:00 CEST / 11:00 UTC / 07:00 EDT / 04:00 PDT.

Just like prior major anniversary milestones, the series' long-time theme song artist group JAM Project will appear in this stream and hold an unarchived live performance.  In addition, the company is preparing to launch more language versions of the stream in not only Japanese but also English and Traditional Chinese.

However, while prior anniversary streams usually came with brand-new game reveals, those hoping for the same this year are advised to tone down expectations, as Bandai Namco has so far only teased segments that would reveal more additional content for the latest console crossover game Super Robot Wars Y and the East Asia-exclusive mobile game Super Robot Wars DD.

In addition, we suspect that the English and Traditional Chinese versions of the stream are going to be cut shorter than the Japanese stream, which has a Part 2 segment that will showcase merchandise related to mechs that have been featured in the SRW series. The official video descriptions for the other language versions do not have the Part 2 segment mentioned at all.
