Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory on PC Steam just made available in Japan

Bandai Namco announced that they have just made Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory available for purchase on Steam in Japan. But while the Steam page is the same as the existing one for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition, there is still a major difference in the game's available languages.

SteamDB has indicated that Bandai Namco put up a new sub package separated from the global release, exclusively for Japan. In addition, a report from Steam Discussions indicates those with a Japanese account who buy the Japanese Steam release are only able to have Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese language options, without English and German.

As a side note, the Steam page accessed from elsewhere also has the following notes:

The interface and subtitles of this game downloaded outside of Japan are only available in English, German, Korean, Traditional Chinese.

This is definitely not the first time Bandai Namco has done this, though. In May 2024, the company just made the Steam releases of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and Dragon Ball FighterZ available in Japan when the games had been available there worldwide for many years earlier. However, SteamDB indicates that the later Japanese releases of these Dragon Ball games are still included in the same worldwide sub packages, unlike this game.
