Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter demo now available, Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition announced

GungHo has announced that a free demo for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is now available for PS5, Steam, and Switch 1. It isn't live for all platforms yet, but should be rolling out now.

The demo is currently live on PS5 here. It should be available here on Switch and here on Steam in the next few hours. Note that Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (cross generation) game demos are always for Switch 1, but it is playable on Switch 2. There will be no Switch 2 demo. The demo save can be transferred to the full game. Alongside the demo, GungHo has confirmed that a Season Pass will be available for purchase separately on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam. This includes cosmetic DLC, like the first game, for $24.99. A Digital Deluxe edition including the base game and Season Pass is also available for $79.99 on Nintendo Switch 1, PlayStation 5, and Steam. 

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter launches on September 17 worldwide for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).

GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) announced that a demo of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is now live on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch , and Steam. The Nintendo Switch demo is playable on Nintendo Switch 2 via backward compatibility.

Players can get a taste of the next modern reimagining in Nihon Falcom’s beloved Trails series before it launches on September 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch , and Steam. All progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game at launch.

Players who purchase the Nintendo Switch version of the game will also be able to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing a $4.99 Upgrade Pack.

The Season Pass is available for purchase separately on Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 5, and Steam, granting access to a variety of cosmetic DLC for $24.99. A Digital Deluxe edition including the base game and Season Pass is also available for $79.99 on Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 5, and Steam.
