Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator shuts down in Japan on November 25

Koei Tecmo and Gust have announced that they will end their services for the Japanese server of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator on November 25 at 16:00 JST. The company and studio have also immediately ceased all microtransactions in this online-exclusive free-to-play mobile RPG.

This end-of-service announcement comes before the third anniversary of the mobile game's Japanese run falls on September 23 this year, although Koei Tecmo and Gust still plan to launch a special website for the anniversary that focuses on the game's stories. They have also today added Chapter 33—titled "Our Future"—in the mobile game's main storyline.

With the English global version already shut down earlier in March last year, the Atelier Resleriana mobile game will cease to exist in its entirety. The same world setting would still be accessible in the console game Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian—available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam (and a last-gen PlayStation 4 version available exclusively in Japan), although the latter stars a different set of protagonists.
