During today's Xbox Showcase at Tokyo Game Show, publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay unveiled an all-new gameplay trailer for Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, the upcoming gothic action RPG and prequel to the critically acclaimed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Scheduled to launch in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement takes players back in time to explore a pivotal chapter in the Bloodstained saga, expanding the rich universe created under the direction of game creator Koji Igarashi (IGA).
The newly released gameplay footage showcases a wealth of previously unseen content, providing fans with their most extensive look yet at the adventure awaiting them. The trailer features new characters, diverse environments, formidable enemies, and a glimpse at several new gameplay mechanics that build upon the exploration-driven action and progression systems that have made Bloodstained a modern Metroidvania favorite.
