Publisher Dangen Entertainment and developer Friends of Safety have announced that the 80s-inspired action RPG Kingdom of Night will launch on November 5 for PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch following the game's debut on PC.

If you haven't kept up with it, Kingdom of Night was originally announced in December 2020 and it launched last December for PC (SteamGOG, the Humble Store, and itch.io). A new console release date trailer for Kingdom of Night can be found below alongside more details via Dangen Entertainment.

DANGEN Entertainment has announced that Kingdom of Night, the 1980s-inspired isometric action RPG where coming-of-age drama meets cosmic horror, will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 5, 2026.

The announcement arrives with a new Console Release Date Trailer, taking players into an ordinary Friday night in 1987 that has gone straight to hell. Demons roam the streets, a satanic cult has unleashed an ancient evil, and John and his friends are all that stand between their hometown and the forces of Baphomet.

The Night Comes to Consoles

Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S preorders begin September 17, with a 10% preorder discount available ahead of launch.

PlayStation 5 players can descend deeper into the night with the exclusive Kingdom of Night — MIDNIGHT EDITION. This special edition includes the complete game and the “NIGHT OF ’97” PSN Avatar Collection, featuring 25 exclusive PSN avatars based on the characters of Kingdom of Night.

A Night Worth Remembering

Originally released for PC in December 2025, Kingdom of Night earned praise for its atmospheric fusion of 1980s nostalgia and supernatural horror, its handcrafted pixel-art world, open-ended exploration, character customization, and local co-op.

Now, the night comes to consoles.
