Open Alice's book once more in Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir

Brand-new screenshots for Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir have surfaced thanks to the partnership between Atlus and Vanillaware. Whether a player is a newcomer or a seasoned veteran of the game, the upcoming remake boasts a significant amount of new features.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir retells the tale of a young girl named Alice who reads a book in an attic. She reads several books that each possess their own individual plotline featuring different main characters. Each of these character's fates intertwine in creative ways that lead to various alliances and rivalries that weave together to tell an intriguing narrative grounded in Norse mythology.

Presented on a 2D plane, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is a side-scrolling action RPG that progresses through a number of stages. Explore environments thoroughly and be wary of any hazards or gimmicks abound. Power up a character's weapon, or Psypher, by collecting Phozons from defeated enemies. Utilize the power of Alchemy to create helpful potions and gain additional bonuses by cooking up Food. Aim to complete a stage with a "S" rank to receive great rewards.

For players who prefer the original Odin Sphere game, the Playstation 2 version is also included inside Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir labeled as "Classic Mode" in which players can use the original power gauge mechanic to battle enemies. Execute combat actions by tactically expending this gauge effectively to avoid exhausting your character. Additionally, the original game will also receive the HD assets so players can enjoy the enhanced visuals along with its familiar gameplay systems!

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is coming out in Japan on January 14, 2016 and is slated for a North American release sometime in 2016 as well.
