Kuon and Yomi

Kuon is a mysterious traveler who now works as a soldier for the escort group. She exhibits a strong sense of duty and is the most invested character in the journey. Setsuna adores her like a sister. Yomi is an experienced swordsman who was a member of the previous escort group. Despite his wisdon, he is one of the more cheery members and many consider his disposition a bit foolish.  Despite that, he’s the go to man for advice.

As previously announced, Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna feature a real time ATB style combat system similar to Chrono Trigger, where characters can take an action once their ATB gauge fills in battle. Depending on a character's distance from the enemy, the style of attack will vary (long-range or close combat).

Unique to the game is the Setsuna System, or “Moment System,” where the effectiveness of techniques can be improved through timed button reactions in battle. As you deal/take damage in battle, the Setsuna gauge will fill, and when full, additional effects can be triggered by timing certain button presses. These effects can includes extra attacks and HP recovery.

Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna is set to release on February 18th in Japan, and later in the year for the North America and Europe. We have screenshots and character artwork in the gallery. Hit up Gematsu for the full rundown.
