Disgaea 5 releasing with Nintendo Switch in Japan and the West

It was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance, but Disgaea 5 briefly popped up in the Nintendo Switch presentation tonight - confirming that Nippon Ichi's beloved Strategy RPG series is making its way to Nintendo's new console-meets-handheld hybrid.

Titled Disgaea 5 Complete, this new port includes all DLC from the original PlayStation 4 release. This includes 8 bonus scenarios, 4 characters from previous Disgaea games, and 3 new character classes.

Strategy RPGs seem like a natural fit for the system's go-anywhere capabilities, and after an attempt to port Disgaea to the original DS it'll be great to see one of these games running at full power on the Switch.

The game will launch alongside the machine in Japan on March 3rd, but the western release only has a Spring 2017 date for now - there's even a new nifty special edition from NIS America, which you can see below.
