Dragon Quest XI Nintendo Direct set for June 21

Nintendo announced today they will be holding a Nintendo Direct stream for Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time this Wednesday, June 21 at 8:00 PM JST (or 4:00AM PT).

After focusing so much on the PS4 version of the game, this event will instead look at the 3DS exclusive features such as the 3D/2D gameplay and StreetPass functionality.

Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and 3DS on July 29 in Japan. The game is also planned for the Nintendo Switch, but they have yet to share any information regarding that platform. There has also yet to be a Western announcement, but with their recent efforts to make the Dragon Quest series big in the west again, it seems all but inevitable.
