Solve a mystery in this debut trailer for The Good Life

Last week, we shared the news that Deadly Premonition creator Swery will be launching a Fig campaign for his title, a mystery RPG called The Good Life.

Today, that same man shared the first trailer for the game so we can bear witness to this man's unique way of storytelling in a different genre than usual. However, the events of the story still follow a town with a big secret to hide, much like his Twin Peaks-inspired creations of the past. This time, it's about how the townspeople turn into cats at night. Yes, cats.

It certainly has a different type of art style, but what exactly is Swery's signature look at this point, really? He is clearly used to working with a small budget, so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

The aforementioned Fig campaign is set to launch on September 7 at 7:00PM PT following the PAX West 2017 panel from Swery and his development studio White Owls about the game.
