The first Utawarerumono is getting a remake for PS4 and Vita

Aquaplus has made a big reveal on the latest Weekly Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation magazines that they are remaking the first Utawarerumono game, which is subtitled Lullaby to the Fallen People when it got ported to PlayStation 2 in 2006 from the 2002 original PC release, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Ryokutya has compiled information from both magazines which mention that this remake will have enhanced presentations on all aspects. All cutscenes and the opening movie are going to be remade in HD quality, and all battles are also being remade in 3D fields. There is also a Special Extended mode that offers better music quality.

The blog also mentioned that there will be a Premium Edition that contains an original anime Blu-ray disc titled The Gorgeous Daily Activities of Princess Tusukuru that will depict Kuon's childhood days and will of course also feature Princess Tusukuru herself. In addition to that, the Premium Edition will also contain the game's original soundtrack and a visual book.
