PSX 2017: Monster Hunter: World Story Trailer, Mega Man Crossover DLC Announced

Earlier today we reported that the Monster Hunter: World PlayStation Plus beta was available for pre-load in advance of tomorrow's release - tonight during Sony's PSX stream, Capcom released a new trailer detailing some more of the story for Monster Hunter: World, showing off a small portion of an as of yet unnamed "volcano" map, and reveailing a Mega Man crossover costume coming to the game as DLC.

In addition to some minor story details, the trailer confirms that Lavasioth and Uragaan - two monsters that already seemed to have "replacements" in Monster Hunter: World - will be coming to game as part of the huntable roster. Finally, at the end of the trailer we were shown that players will be able to dress their palico up as classic 8-bit Mega Man, which will also allow players to hunt to classic Mega Man tunes, depending on which weapon they have equipped.

The Monster Hunter: World beta starts tomorrow/today on PlayStation 4, depending on your timezone, and will run through December 12th. The full game will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26th, 2018 with a PC release coming at a later date.
