Monster Hunter: World ships six million copies worldwide, fastest Capcom title to do so

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World has shipped six million copies worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, including download sales. It is the fastest Capcom title the reach that milestone.

Capcom also notes that since the original Monster Hunter title launched 14 years ago in 2004, cumulative sales of series now total to more than 46 million units worldwide as of February 9, 2018.

Capcom has big plans for the series going forward, not only domestically with the upcoming Monster Hunter: World Kariou Playoffs in Japan but even further initiatives worldwide, even including an upcoming Hollywood film adaptation of the series.
