Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot dated for January 17, 2020; TGS trailer shows off the Buu Arc

During Tokyo Game Show 2019, Bandai Namco Entertainment dropped a new trailer showing that upcoming action RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will cover the events of the Buu Arc, meaning that it will indeed cover the full gamut of Dragon Ball Z sagas. 

We also got confirmation that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release worldwide on January 17, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out some teaser footage and the end of the new trailer below. We've also grabbed some Buu Saga screenshots, as well as the game's boxart.

Pre-Order Bonus

A pre-order bonus is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, and all seem to contain the same offerings.

Preorder Bonus Content Includes:

  • New Sub Quest
  • Early Access to Bonyu's Training (New character design by Akira Toriyama)
  • 1 x Cooking item (Permanent stat boost of melee attack and HP)

Deluxe Edition - $84.99/£64.99

A Deluxe Edition will be available for all three platforms, though only a Steam version page seems to be available on Bandai Namco's site. This version includes the pre-order content, season pass, music compilation pack, and an extra cooking item.

An Ultimate Edition will be available for all three platforms, though only a Steam version page seems to be available on Bandai Namco's site. This seems to include everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus a way to travel on Tao Pai Pai's pillar.
