This is comfortably the strongest debut for a Fire Emblem game worldwide. For comparison, the combined sales of Fire Emblem: Fates reached 1.84 million units by March 2016, though that was before it released in Europe & Australia. Fire Emblem Awakening sold 1.79 million worldwide by December 2014 (it released in all regions by 2013). As for Zelda, it's probably safe to say Link's Awakening has a ways to go to reach the massive milestone being set by Breath of the WIld, which is now at 14.54 million.

The Supplementary Information also gives a look ahead at upcoming games for Nintendo Switch, both first party and third party titles. As for the games of interest to RPG fans, we're of course looking forward to Pokemon Sword & Pokemon Shield next month, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore next January, with Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition coming later in 2020.
