Fantasy Life i Treasure Grove Guide – Where To Plant the Treasure Grove Sapling, Online Multiplayer, and More

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is now available worldwide. As you progress through the main story, you will unlock more game modes and mechanics that apply both offline and online. One of these is the game's Treasure Grove system. This guide will cover how to unlock Treasure Groves in Fantasy Life i, the story quest needed, how Treasure Groves work online, and more.

Note that this guide will have spoilers for Chapter 4 of the main story.

What is the Treasure Grove in Fantasy Life i?

Treasure Groves are dungeons with randomly generated layouts. They let you adventure solo, with NPCs, or even with friends in multiplayer and you have to clear out floors and choose the next path as you progress to the end. Completing a Treasure Grove gets you Goddess Fruit which you can trade in to Marco for special items.

If you are struggling on a floor, you can select give up from the menu (your Weird Pad on page 2) and then return. You keep any items you've earned or gathered when doing this. I've left the Treasure Grove after completing two floors and it let me resume from that point so far. As you can see, the Treasure Grove system is quite lenient.

How to unlock the Treasure Grove mode in Fantasy Life i multiplayer

You can unlock Treasure Groves in Fantasy Life i after completing Chapter 4 of the main story. This chapter is titled "The Polturnip and the Leafe". To unlock this game mode or multiplayer option, you need to plant the Treasure Grove sapling you obtain when you finish Chapter 4.

Where to plant the Treasure Grove sapling in Fantasy Life i

The game tells you to plant the Treasure Grove sapling "somewhere in Base Camp". The first location is to the left of the base camp Guild as shown in the gallery above.

How to get more Treasure Grove saplings in Fantasy Life i

You can get more Treasure Grove saplings from traveling merchants in Ginormosia or by defeating Mimics roaming around the continent. You also get a Treasure Grove Branch when you explore a friend's Treasure Grove. This lets you revisit that Treasure Grove on your own island.
