Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles Poaching Guide - How to get ten Rare Wares
This page lists all monsters and poach-able items in Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles.
If you are playing the PC, PlayStation, or Xbox versions of Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles, you may have noticed the trophy/achievement titled "Rare Wares", which asks you to "Have ten different items produced at a poacher's den that cannot be purchased from outfitters." Starting in chapter 3, you can begin to Poach monster enemies using a Support ability learned from the Thief class. As long as a character with the Poach ability equipped lands the final blow on a monster enemy, they will be successfully poached, meaning a carcass will be added to your inventory.
Each monster has two possible items it can give from poaching: a common item and a rare item. You will immediately know when a carcass will result in a rare item, because it will have a ✨ icon in the text box that appears. Also, remember for the achievement, you need ten different items.

Poaching Monsters Made Easier With Monster Taming
By far the easiest way to poach monsters is to first add them to your party, not poaching monsters from random encounters. To do this, you can either use an Orator's Entice Active ability or the Orator's Tame Support ability. Once a monster is recruited, it will start laying eggs in your party as days pass, as Ramza walks around the world map.
It is important to note that each monster type comes in three versions, indicated by a palette swap. For example, there are Chocobos, Black Chocobos, and Red Chocobos. There are also Dragons, Red Dragons, and Blue Dragons. Any type of chocobo can breed any type of chocobo, or any dragon can breed any dragon. For example, a Black Chocobo can lay an egg that hatches into a Red Chocobo. This means if you catch a monster, you effectively can get its three versions through breeding.
Once you have bred a handful of monsters you want to poach, Save your game, and then enter a random battle. Bring in a monster or two you want to poach, as well as a unit with the Poach ability. Poach your monsters, and if you get the common/rare carcasses you want, complete the battle and then you can stop by the poacher for your reward. If you don't get the item you want, flee the battle and try again.
In the table below, the bolded and underlined items should count towards this achievement. When you turn in these carcasses to the poacher, it should show a special symbol in the menu. Note that some of these 'Rare Wares' come from "common" carcasses.
This guide has been made with assistance from existing tables for the War of the Lions PSP version. However, note that some of the item names have changed for The Ivalice Chronicles. We've included the new item names we've found so far in the table below.
