Pokemon Legends: Z-A Ralt Guide - Where to catch and how to evolve Ralts
While many of the Pokemon you can catch in Pokemon Legends: Z-A are found in Wild Zones, there's a number of ones that can only be found outside of them. While Pokemon like Dratini have random spawn chances at specific locations, others will consistently spawn at specific parts of the map. One such case is with Ralts, which players will want to seek out thanks to its multiple evolutions, depending on its gender. While it's not quite as easy to find it as other Pokemon, there is thankfully a consistent method of catching some - here's where and how.
Where to catch Ralts
If you're checking this guide page within the first few weeks of the game's release, you can simply grab a Ralts and a Gardevorite from Mystery Gift at any time; yet, this distribution isn't permanent. Considering both Gardevoir and Gallade are beloved Pokemon, each with their own Mega Evolution, it's no surprise that many players might be interested to know where to catch more Ralts of their own, and how to evolve them into either a Gardevoir or a Gallade, depending on their taste.
Keeping things simple; a Ralts will consistently spawn on top of the dome roof of the Galerie de la Lune in Rouge Sector 2, excepting when one specific sidequest will overwrite things. While Rotom Glide will make things easier, you can simply roll onto the dome to battle and catch the Ralts at the top, and given enough time it will always respawn. While there are other possible spawn locations for Ralts, the consistency and notability of this spawn location makes it the easiest choice. Simply come by to check whenever you're in need of a Ralts.
How to evolve Ralts into Gardevoir or Gallade
While Ralts will eventually evolve into Kirlia via level up, things get trickier when you consider whether you want your Kirlia to become a Gardevoir or a Gallade. First off, only a male Kirlia can become a Gallade - while both male and female Kirlia can evolve into Gardevoir. The distinction comes down to evolution method; while players now have the ability to evolve Pokemon with a level requirement manually in Z-A, in previous games even a male Kirlia would evolve into Gardevoir on its own, unless you went out of your way to evolve it into Gallade, or actively prevented its evolution from level up.
To evolve Kirlia into Gallade, you need a Dawn Stone. While you can find these lying around across Lumiose, much like with other evolution stones you can also eventually find them at the Stone Emporium in Southern Lumiose. If you want a Gardevoir, simply evolve your Kirlia once its level is high enough. If you want a Gallade instead, ensure your Kirlia is male and then seek out a Dawn Stone. Use it on him to evolve him into Gallade.
If you're curious about where to get your new Gardevoir or Gallade's Mega Stone - we've got you covered, though of course be wary of spoilers depending on how far into the game you've managed. Now that you've figured out how to get your newest member of your team - have fun, and enjoy the rest of your vacation in Lumiose City!
