How to access the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake pre-order and save data bonus DLC
After starting a new game, go through the opening cut-scenes, and once you gain control of your character, move towards the inn. The chest in the inn has the pre-order bonus and save data bonus DLC items you have redeemed on your platform of choice. For Dragon Quest I, the inn is in Tantegel while you can access the chest in the inn in Midenhall in Dragon Quest II. Note that the save data bonus is only for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and not for the classic version of Dragon Quest III on Switch.
