Octopath Traveler 0: Where to find the Azure Flamestones

At the conclusion of the Kindlers of Flame questline, one of the last things you restore is the Sacred Flame altar in the center of town. This special artifact not only helps to keep Wishvale safe from monsters, but it also provides some really useful benefits to you and should be leveled up as soon as you can. The altar, however, isn't leveled up the traditional way by spending Radiant Cornerstones like the rest of the structures in Wishvale are, but instead requires rare Azure Flamestones. 

Sacred Flame Altar boons:

• Fast Travel: Allows fast travel to field and dungeon locations on the world map.
• Area Research: Reveals the number of treasure chests and Elite Monsters are in a given area, along with how many you have collected/defeated.
• Animal Whisperer: Grants the ability to speak with and perform some Path Actions on some animals found throughout Octopath Traveler 0.

Azure Flamestone Locations

• Earned by completing the Kindlers of Flame storyline after rebuilding the altar.

• Found to the left of the stairs in the Eternal Silver (unlocked via the Bestower of Wealth storyline)
• Purchase from the Traveling Ore Merchant inside of Grandfort's item shop for 30,000 leaves (haggle down to 15,000)

These upgrades are worth the time investment it takes to grab them, with two of them basically being received normally during the course of the story, making them easy pickups. The order that I selected the rewards was Area Research, followed by Fast Travel and finally Animal Whisperer, since I preferred the added information to know where to track down Elite Enemies for cornerstones. Animal Whisperer, I recommend saving it for last, while you get some good items from it, the other two are vastly more helpful.
