Atelier Ryza 2's Japanese stream details Photo Mode and post-release updates

Koei Tecmo and Gust held the final pre-release live stream for Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and the Secret Fairy, as Japan will see the RPG released there next week. Other than announcing collaborations where characters from Atelier Ryza 2 will appear in several other games, Gust also revealed the Photo Mode that will be included on the Japanese launch.

Photo Mode enables you to freely adjust the environment, lighting, and characters to take unique pictures. Other than changing character poses and expressions, you will also be able to change the time of day, photo frame, and filter.

Atelier Ryza 2 will also receive post-release updates that add even more features to the Photo Mode, among others. While the paid DLC additions included in the season pass are slated for release by February or March 2021, these updates will be split into two separate batches in late December 2020 and January 2021, respectively.

You can read the details on the Japanese post-release roadmap of Atelier Ryza 2 right below. The RPG will be released first in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch—with a digital PlayStation 5 release—on December 3. It is yet to be known if the free updates will be immediately applied to the English Western release—along with the PC Steam version—which will be available on January 26 in North America and January 29 in Europe.
