Yomawari: Lost in the Dark receives a western release in Fall 2022 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC

NIS America has announced that they are bringing Yomawari: Lost in the Dark to the west this fall for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). Yomawari: Lost in the Dark is the third entry in the Yomawari series following Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows.

Lost in the Dark continues the atmospheric horror adventure series as players take control of a young girl that must seek out memories to break the curse that has been inflicted upon her. She wakes up in the middle of a dark forest and the only thing she can remember is being on a school rooftop around sunset.

Spirits threaten the protagonist in her quest. Armed only with a flashlight, the girl has to find places to hide from them. Closing her eyes erases her presence from nearby Spirits, so sometimes the only safe way to traverse is losing her sense of sight temporarily. Lost in the Dark recently released in Japan on April 21 and several details on its gameplay systems have been shared previously.

The western announcement trailer to Yomawari: Lost in the Dark and a new batch of screenshots can be found down below.

A young girl awakens in a dark, unfamiliar forest with no recollection of how she got there. As she searches for the way out, she crosses paths with a mysterious individual who reveals to her that she’s been cursed. In order to break the curse, she needs to explore the streets of her town at night to seek out her lost memories. However, malevolent ghosts lurk within the shadows, and the girl must avoid them by running, hiding, and shutting her eyes if she hopes to survive long enough to break her curse.
