The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II - Crimson Sin launches in Japan on September 29

Nihon Falcom has announced the Japanese release date for The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II - Crimson Sin. The new entry in the Trails series will appear in Japan on September 29.

Kuro II will also apply some elements from Hajimari no Kiseki - which shall be known in the West as Trails into Reverie. A story chapter will have two parts running concurrently. One part will feature the protagonist Van Arkride, while the other will have his allies perform separately. The player can choose which part to do first in any order, although they will have to finish that part first before they can proceed with the remaining one.

Several key characters from Trails into Reverie will also play key roles in Crimson Sin. Swin Abel and Nadia Rayne, who both debuted in Reverie's "C" Route, are newly confirmed in the playable roster. Falcom has previously revealed Gralsritter Dominion knights Celis Ortesia and Rion Balthazar as playable characters. Meanwhile, the Kuro series protagonist Van Arkride is so far only confirmed to be accompanied by Agnes Claudel and Elaine Auclair. It is currently unknown whether the remaining party members from its predecessor will also return as playables or not.
