Fate/Samurai Remnant launches on September 28 in Japan

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced that Fate/Samurai Remnant will launch on September 28, at least in Japan.

The announcement comes from a new trailer posted to the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel, shown below.

Update: The official upload has been made private, but we've shared a reupload of the trailer in the meantime. It's possible the official announcement was supposed to land sometime during Anime Expo, where Aniplex has a handful of Fate-related events.

Fate/Samurai Remnant was initially announced with a teaser trailer at last year's Type-Moon's New Year's Eve live stream in Japan. While today's trailer is hosted on the PlayStation Japan channel, showing PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as platforms, the action RPG was previously confirmed to be released worldwide, and also be released for Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). An English release date has yet to be confirmed.

Fate/Samurai Remnant is an action RPG spinoff of Type Moon's Fate series that tells a new original story taking place in feudal-era Japan. It will feature the Waxing Moon Ritual as an alternate version of the Fate series' Holy Grail War.
