Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series sales top 3 million copies

Square Enix notched up another milestone for Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, the revamped rereleases of six classic Final Fantasy titles. According to the publisher the series has now sold over 3 million copies worldwide across Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, and mobile platforms.

The new milestone arrived about four months after the series passed 2 million sales in May 2023. Given that it took about two years to hit the 2 million figure (the first Pixel Remaster title launched in mid-2021), it seems safe to attribute the increased interest to the console releases for Switch and PS4, which launched in April 2023.

For those uninitiated, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is the blanket title for the remastered rereleases of Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, and VI, redone with a new, refined pixel art style and enhanced with modern convenience features.
